I believe that Signal also has a desktop app, now, but I'm not sure how well it works with anonymity systems like Tor or I2P. Do your research and figure out what works for you. And then there are other, more exotic or more recent innovations that are poorly reviewed/audited, like Ricochet, Tox (over Tor or I2P), BitMessage (over Tor or I2P), LookingGlass, etc. ![]() There are other possible solutions, including simple GPG-encrypted email over I2P (like with Postman's mail service), although this does not protect metadata, of course. The most well-reviewed system is probably I2P-Bote, which does also have an android app (which I presume is the only reason you would be talking about such terrible products as Wickr in the first place) - more info at I should add that if you need an anonymous, secure messaging system, your options are somewhat limited.
